SCARCITY CHAPTER 2:
CHAPTER 2:
SQUARE OF ABUNDANCE
abundance of people, abundance of goods during the market hours, abundance of struggles, abundance of stories hiding behind statues and posters.
The walk of invisibilities: following local initiatives and a glowing arrow, we looked for the (invisibilised) treasures of Hermannplatz and its surroundings, listening to stories of resistance and collective fight for a more just city. Especially looking at the drastic changes that occurred —or are planned in the area , it is crucial to acknowledge the qualities of what is already there !
Thank you Niloufar Tajeri, Ana Rodriguez Bisbicus, Tobias M and Stefanie Battisti for sharing your insights and your engagement with us.
🎬SUNDAY NIGHT
Using public space as a projection surface for collective imaginaries, we watched "Haunted Landscapes" a short-trick film by Paula Odeja Granda & Polly Bruchlos.
The film depicts a speculative Berlin in 2053 and was inspired by the work of Initiative Hermannplatz (among others!).
Thank you @initiativehermannplatz for sharing the infrastructure of the Platzhalter kiosk with us.
