In the "Anarchitekt*innenkammer" we want to discuss together challenges, demands and wishes for spaces and processes. For this purpose, new „Leistungsphasen“ are to be determined that allow other practices and ultimately define the title of (An)architekt*innen in a different way.
In order to be considered an "architect" and to be allowed to work, one must first be admitted to the Chamber of Architects. For this purpose, all "service phases" must be passed, which are linked to the planning and construction process of buildings.
We ask ourselves whether the contents of the performance phases represent the only important challenges and tasks of today's architects and thus completely define the profession, with all its valuable skills.
Is it right to tie this title to a constant (re)construction process and thus to the use of resources and impact on the environment? Are architects not capable of thinking and creating spaces independently of materials?
And wouldn't it be more important to promote processes of resource organization, reuse, repair and deconstruction than the constant „new"?
